Sam Nelson is a seasoned Network Weaver and Data Informed Decision Maker, currently serving as the Director of Capacity Management at the Illinois Student Assistance Commission since 1993 and as the Director of Organizational Development from 2024. In addition, Sam is a member and former chair of the Board of Directors for Educational Assistance Limited, an organization dedicated to creating scholarships for needy college students. Sam's earlier experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at North Central College and as a Steering Committee Member and Chair for Mapping Your Future. Sam holds a Master's degree in Higher Education Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from North Central College.
