John Fleming

John Fleming has over 18 years of professional experience in the communications and public relations fields. John began their career in 2002 as a Vice President of Public Affairs at Herrle Communications Group, where they were responsible for strategy and implementation of campaigns. In 2008, they became the President of The Fleming Agency, a public relations consultancy specializing in public affairs clients in the business and nonprofit sectors in Florida. John also served as the Vice President of Public Affairs at Salter>Mitchell and Director of Communications at the Florida Retail Federation. In 2014, they joined North Highland as a Senior Consultant, where they had hands-on experience in strategic planning, futures research, procurement strategy, business case development, requirements gathering, program evaluation, organizational change management, business process modeling, meeting facilitation, metadata management, and taxonomy. In addition, they were the Communications Lead for North Highland's public sector marketing and public relations team. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Strategic Communications Consultant at Fleming Consulting Services LLC and an Acquisition Lead and Technical Writer at ISF, Inc. John has also served as Treasurer of the Capital Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association and Board of Directors of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.

John Fleming attended the University of Florida from 1996 to 1999, where they received a B.S. in Journalism. In 2007, they obtained the Accredited in Public Relations certification from the Universal Accreditation Board. In 2016, they obtained the Certified Public Relations Counselor certification from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). In the same year, they also obtained the Up and Running with Box and Up and Running with Box Administration certifications from Lynda.com. In 2018, they obtained certifications in Accounting Foundations, Building Resilience, Business Foundations, Creating a Business Plan, Enhancing Your Productivity, Mentoring Others, New Manager Foundations, Projecting Intelligence, and Visio 2016 Essential Training from Lynda.com.
