Umer Tahir has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Umer'smost recent position was as a Software Engineer at Islacare, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Pockla as a Full Stack Developer, where they were responsible for infrastructure design in AWS, front-end and back-end development using React and Nodejs, and server configuration and deployments. Umer also held the role of Junior Full-stack Developer at Pockla before being promoted to Full Stack Developer.
Before joining Pockla, Umer worked at CodesOrbit as a Back End Developer, where they developed and deployed applications in Nodejs, ExpressJs, and Socket.io. Umer also gained experience as a Jr. Java Developer at CodesOrbit. In addition to their professional roles, Umer worked as a freelance Nodejs Developer, building an employee attendance system using Nodejs and MySQL as a database.
Earlier in their career, Umer gained valuable experience as an Internee at vizzwebsolutions and True Meridian. Umer also worked as a Customer Service Agent at BridgeStone. Umer Tahir started their education journey in 2015 at the International Islamic University, Islamabad. Umer pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science (BSCS) degree and successfully completed it in 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at the University of Greenwich in 2021 for a Masters degree in Computer Science. As of 2022, Umer is continuing their education at the University of Greenwich.
