Michael Mauch

Michael Mauch is an experienced professional currently serving as a Sales Engineer at Island since February 2024. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at Zscaler, including Principal Field Product Manager and Solution Architect, from August 2020 to February 2024. Michael's previous experience includes roles such as Product Manager in Network Security Architecture at Broadcom Inc. and Symantec, as well as serving as Global Solutions CTO and EMEA CTO at Symantec. Michael began career as a Senior Product Manager at Blue Coat Systems before its acquisition by Symantec. With a focus on security solutions, Michael has developed expertise in areas such as Reverse Proxy, Web Application Firewall, content security, and authentication across a range of technologies. Michael holds a Dipl.-Ing. (BA) and Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from DHBW Mannheim, along with prior studies at Goethe University Frankfurt and The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
