Islandport is a growing and evolving collective of publications, individual journalists and authors, and emerging voices and artists, immersed in its communities through traditional media—newspapers, books & magazines—new media, community engagement, and local philanthropy, all rooted in the infectious spirit of Maine.

At Islandport Media, we believe that the strongest communities are connected through their culture, their values and their history. We create products that support those connections through quality reporting, storytelling and direct engagement that strengthen bonds and inspire action. Our company is rooted in the spirit of Maine, which provides the heart and the grit that fuels our passion, but was created to positively impact communities everywhere seeking to build a place of inclusiveness and belonging.

Islandport is dedicated to quality journalism, exceptional storytelling, and connecting communities. Like our beloved state we are rooted in tradition but constantly evolving. We champion the timeless allure of print publishing, while embracing the promise and potential of new platforms. We aim to cultivate connections, think independently, bridge divides, and help move toward a place of greater empathy and belonging.
