Tom Field

SVP, Editorial at ISMG

Tom Field is the Senior Vice President, Editorial at ISMG. Tom has been with the company for 15 years, and in their current role, they manage an international team of editors in the development of multimedia content for more than two dozen media sites and live events in the US, UK, EU, India and Asia. Tom also oversees ISMG's research and custom content development teams and assists with content for international events.

Tom has been in the publishing industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining ISMG, they were the Executive Editor at CXO Media, where they oversaw writing, design and production of custom publications, webcasts, websites and live events for a range of global clients, including AT&T, BMC Software, HP, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle and Unisys. Tom was also responsible for creating custom content with a virtual editorial team, as well as meeting with prospective clients’ marketing teams to develop and sell new projects. Among their accomplishments at CXO Media were the creation of ongoing multimedia content programs for AT&T, HP and Microsoft; the development of integrated media campaigns (print, online, live events) for Intel, HP and Unisys; the launch of new custom magazines for BMC Software, RSA Security and Microsoft; and the roll-out of CIO Custom Roundtables.

Before CXO Media, Tom was the Executive Editor at CIO Magazine and Editor at Deming Headlight and The Portsmouth Press. Tom started their career as a Sports Editor at The Ellsworth American.

Tom Field has a journalism degree from Emerson College and a history degree from the University of Maine. Tom also went to Marlboro College for education and Cony High School. Tom has leadership development training from the Center for Creative Leadership.
