Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith's work experience includes roles at various companies and organizations. Kevin worked at Isode Ltd as both a Software Engineer from November 2009 to December 2013, and later as the VP Engineering for Instant Messaging and Presence. At Swift XMPP Client, they held a role as a Developer. Kevin also had roles within the XMPP Standards Foundation, serving as a Council Member from 2006 to 2015 and later as the Council Chair from 2008 to 2015. Kevin also worked as the Research and Development Manager at The ai Corporation, and as the Project Leader and Developer for the Psi Jabber/XMPP Client project. Kevin had a role as a KTP Associate at ai Corporation/University of Exeter. Lastly, they worked as a Technical Consultant at Complete Web Solutions Ltd.

Kevin Smith's education history begins in 1999 when they enrolled in the University of Exeter for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Kevin completed this program in 2002. Following their undergraduate studies, from 2002 to 2007, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at the same university. In 2006, while still working on their Ph.D., they also attended the Chartered Management Institute and obtained an NVQ Level 4 degree in Management, which they completed in 2008.
