Lukas May has a strong background in international trade and policy. Lukas served as the Head of Expansion and Policy at Isometric since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at the Department for International Trade (DIT) as the Deputy Director, where they led successful negotiations for the UK-Japan Free Trade Agreement and the UK's accession to CPTPP. Lukas also held the position of Global Head of Banking and Expansion at TransferWise, where they led the company's international expansion efforts and managed governmental and regulatory relationships globally. Lukas began their career at the Financial Conduct Authority, working on various roles such as Innovation Hub and Competition Department, where they developed and implemented strategies to promote innovation and competition in the financial services industry.
Lukas May completed their B.A. degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics at the University of Oxford from 2008 to 2011. Lukas then pursued further education, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Law at King's College London from 2013 to 2014.
