James Kirkpatrick has a diverse work experience in scientific research and programming. James is currently working as a Senior Principal Research Scientist at Isomorphic Labs since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Scientist at Google DeepMind from 2012 to 2023. James also held a role as an Analyst Programmer at Tessella from 2012 to 2013, where they applied their programming and mathematical knowledge to solve various business problems. Before that, they worked as a James Martin Fellow at the University of Oxford from 2010 to 2012, building mathematical models for solar cells. James started their career as a Junior Fellow at Imperial College from 2007 to 2010.
James Kirkpatrick completed their education, earning a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics from Imperial Coll from 1999 to 2003. Earlier, they completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at UWCad from 1997 to 1999, with a focus on Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, English, and Italian.
