Lorenz B. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2012, Lorenz worked as a Corporate Development Intern at TÜV SÜD, where they conducted research in various fields. In 2013, they interned as an Embedded Development Intern at tado° GmbH, where they built a proof-of-concept for a smart thermostat device. From 2014 to 2015, Lorenz was a Co-founder at No Moon Ltd, where they created Let's Gaze, a web-based application for long-distance couples. In 2015, they served as a Programme Director at Entrepreneur First, working with startups to develop their products. At Cloudflare, Inc., from 2015 to 2022, Lorenz worked as a Systems Engineer, contributing to the company's load balancer and the Linux kernel's BPF subsystem. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Software Engineer at Isovalent, starting in 2023. Additionally, Lorenz is also the Director of Tangram Lea & Lorenz Bauer GbR, which manages the rights to their late father's documentary films.

Lorenz invested four years in their studies there, completing their bachelor's program in 2012. Eager to further develop their skills and knowledge, Lorenz decided to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management. Lorenz was accepted into the prestigious Imperial College London in 2013 and successfully completed their master's program in 2014.
