Network Engineer at ISPA Technology

Scott McDonald has been in the workforce since 2000, when they began their career in the US Navy as a Cryptologic Technician-Technical (CTT) Instructor. In this role, they wrote and developed courses for electronic intelligence (ELINT) curriculum, tested and evaluated students in a classroom setting, and was an Assistant Secure Compartmented Information facility (SCIF) Field Security Officer. Scott taught eleven courses with a total of 220+ students, with a course length of eleven weeks per-class. Additionally, they were an Electronic Warfare Supervisor, supervising electronic support activities and providing cryptologic direct support to Commanders and Units in the Atlantic Fleet and other Navy Secure functions. Scott also generated daily-classified time-sensitive reports for superiors and national security consumers.

In 2008, Scott McDonald began working as a Systems Analyst Team Lead at CGI. Here, they performed analysis on the system level capabilities, developed and documented software requirements, developed integration level test procedures and test strategies for new requirements and system capabilities, and provided senior management with analytical updates of known problem statuses and software solutions on any newly found problem within the software application.

From 2013 to 2018, Scott McDonald worked as a Network Engineer Lead at Engility Corporation. In this role, they used knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks, network production and engineering of multiple Navy communication systems, and provided technical direction for the development of complex Navy communication systems. Scott also provided analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces, and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution.

Most recently, in 2021, Scott McDonald became a Small Business Owner at Seventh Day Guitar's LLC.

Scott McDonald received their High School Diploma from Bay High School in 2000. Scott also obtained two certifications in 2017, a Windows Server 2008R2 System Administrator certification from Skillsoft and a Security+ certification from CompTIA.
