David de Vera

David De Vera is a Systems Integration Design Engineer at ispace, inc. since October 2019, specializing in lunar lander systems integration design. Previously, David worked as a Structural Design and Analysis Engineer at Sierra Lobo, Inc. from September 2017 to September 2019, focusing on stress and dynamics analysis for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's MEDALS program. Prior experience also includes roles as a Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where responsibilities included structures design and mechanical design integration, as well as an Aeronautical Engineer performing structural dynamics analysis. David began his career as a Launch Mechanical Systems Intern at Space Exploration Technologies and held positions as an undergraduate researcher at Tohoku University and a Student Professional Worker at the Los Angeles Department of Transportation. David holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from UC Irvine, with additional research experience at Tohoku University.
