Ramon Castella

Ramon Castella is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in embedded software design and development for aerospace applications. Currently serving as Lead Embedded Software Engineer at ispace, inc. since May 2022, Castella focuses on lunar exploration rovers. Prior to this role, Castella held positions at GTD for over two decades, including Technical Manager responsible for developing VEGA-C PIL & HWIL simulators and Project Engineer overseeing a team managing telemetry and safety systems for ARIANE 4 and 5 launchers. Additional experience includes software engineering roles at CIRCUTOR, UAB - Centre de visió per computador, and FUNDACIO CIM, specializing in computer vision systems for quality control. Ramon Castella holds multiple degrees in Computer Engineering and related fields from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, along with a diploma in HP-UX System and Network Administration from Hewlett Packard.
