Andrew Dalton

Director of Education & Chairman at ISPH

Andrew was the founding Principal when ISPKL opened in 2011 and is extremely proud of the successful progress made by the school since then. In 2018 he was promoted to the position of Director of Education in which he has overall responsibility for all educational developments within the ParkCity group, including ISPH and its sister school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (ISPKL). He has a wealth of international school leadership experience having worked in world-class schools across Asia and the Middle-East, two of which were recently listed in the top eight international schools in the world. His previous positions include (i) Headmaster of Bromsgrove International School (Thailand); (ii) Principal of The Green School (Bali); (iii) Deputy Head of Tanglin Trust School (Singapore); (iv) Head of Houses at St.Christopher’s International School (Bahrain). During his tenure as Principal of ISPKL, he held the position of Chairman of the Association of International Malaysian Schools (AIMS) for a number of years.

Andrew, who was born and raised in the UK, started out his career in engineering before changing his profession into teaching. He holds a range of qualifications, including a Masters Degree in Education from Bath University, the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) from the National College of School Leadership (NCSL), a Mathematics Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Lancaster University, and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree with Honours from Liverpool University. More recently he qualified as a Certified Practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and also as a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) with Malaysia Institute of Management (MIM). Even though Andrew is predominantly based in Malaysia, he regularly visits Hanoi where he can witness the tremendous progress of ISPH whilst also enjoying the cultural splendour of Vietnam and its people.
