Janet Towlson

Early Years Centre Teacher at ISPH

Janet joins ISPH as our founding Early Years Teacher.

Before joining ISPH as our Early Years Teacher, Janet has had a fantastic and extensive career within education. Janet has studied, worked and been a successful published educational author. She holds a Certificate in Early Years Education from the University of Cambridge, an Advanced Diploma in Language and Literacy also from the University of Cambridge with her resulting work being published, a Management for Primary Deputy Heads, Preparation for Headship qualification from the University of East Anglia and a Certificate in Education from the University of Bristol.

Janet has held various leadership positions throughout her career both in the UK, as Assistant Headteacher at two leading London schools, and internationally. Whilst working in London, she secured a one year sabbatical to work in Kathmandu to research how children acquire English when it is not their first language. Janet states it was this experience that inspired her to work overseas and consequently establish Early Years Centres in Myanmar, Palestine and Albania.

Janet is passionate about Early Years education and is always striving to make it as exciting, creative and challenging as possible for all pupils. She says she enjoys learning new things, has had an inspirational education and wants to achieve the same for all pupils she teaches, assists and guides to ensure they become lifelong learners.

She thoroughly enjoys living and working in new countries and immersing herself in different cultures. Her interests outside school are reading, sketching, painting, art history, walking, swimming, exploring and cooking new dishes. She likes to spend time with family and friends.
