John Paul McManus

Head of Primary at ISPH

John-Paul is the founding Head of Primary at ISPH, following 6 years with our sister school in Malaysia. John-Paul previously taught in a London Primary school, moving to Malaysia in August 2013. He holds a Masters of Arts in International Education (Distinction) from the University of Sunderland, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics & Finance (Honours) from Keele University, a CELTA qualification from Cambridge University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Brunel University.

John-Paul has held a variety of leadership positions in previous schools and has a strong focus on continuing professional development. He believes that schools should always be happy and rewarding places to teach and learn. He believes that happy teachers and students will help unlock and maximise every student’s true potential and support them along their journey as lifelong learners.

John-Paul joins ISPH with his wife Holly and two young children. In his spare time, John-Paul enjoys the outdoors lifestyle and likes to challenge himself, ideally with charitable causes in mind. He has completed the ‘3 Peaks Challenge’ (climbing the 3 highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours), bungee-jumped, skydived, ice-climbed and cycled from London to Paris, all in aid of good causes. He also enjoys participating in various sports including football and swimming.
