Nick Gray

Computer Science Teacher at ISPH

Nick is a Massachusetts-licensed teacher with over five years of international teaching experience. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Alternative Education Methods and Game Development, as well as a Master’s Degree in Agile Project Management. Nick’s teaching expertise is for grades 5-12, specialising in both Computer Science and Digital Literacy, and English Language Arts.

In his most recent role, Nick served as an AP Computer Science Principles, Web Dev, and Computer Programming teacher, and he also implemented a coding curriculum for introductory coding classes. He taught a range of class types all the way from game development and web design, to English.

Nick is a strong advocate for the ‘maker movement’ and creative computing, having founded an interdisciplinary game development maker-space for undergraduate learners, where he led workshops on interdisciplinary development practices and creative computing. He also has experience in teaching Python, Java, Javascript, game design, web development, and other related subjects to students from grades 5 up to 12.

In his free time, Nick enjoys playing board games with friends, geeking out about poetry and musical theatre, as well as participating in game-jams and hackathons.
