Andy Ewing has a diverse work experience that spans teaching roles and data science positions. Andy began their career in academia as an instructor and teaching assistant at the University of Washington before transitioning to roles as a lecturer and assistant professor at various institutions. In 2012, they worked as a Utilities Economist at King County before moving to roles in data science at companies like AOL Platforms and iSpot.tv. At iSpot.tv, Andy held positions as a Senior Data Scientist, Director of Data Science, and VP of Data Science. Additionally, they have served as a part-time lecturer at Northeastern University and Bellevue College.
Andy Ewing obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics with honors from McDaniel College in 2003. Andy then pursued a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics at the University of Washington from 2003 to 2009. In 2014, they furthered their education with a Certificate in Data Science from the University of Washington.
