John Sweeney is an accomplished healthcare leader with extensive experience in quality improvement and patient safety. Currently serving as CEO of Health Care Informed since 2005, John has overseen the provision of regulatory support services to health and social care organizations. Additionally, John has contributed as an ISQua Expert and Board Director for the International Society for Quality in Healthcare, promoting global healthcare standards. Previously, John held leadership roles such as Board Director and Chair of the Quality and Patient Safety Committee at Galway Hospice, and Director of Research and Development at the Irish Health Services Accreditation Board, where pivotal accreditation schemes were developed. John holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Applied Mathematics and Quality Management from the University of Galway.
