Ellen Zeng

Tech Policy and Automation Intern

Ellen Zeng is an experienced intern with a diverse background in technology, public policy, and research. Notable roles include a Research and Design Intern at the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, where qualitative analysis of focus group interviews was conducted, and a user-friendly reporting interface was designed. At New America, Ellen contributed to project management and web development for a housing application improvement platform. With experience as a Computer Science Ethics Researcher at Duke University, Ellen designed workshops focused on ethical technology for high school students. As a Tech Policy Fellow for the Paragon Policy Fellowship, efforts were directed toward enhancing AI language access in St. Louis. Currently, as a Tech Policy and Automation Intern at Issue One, Ellen focuses on data privacy research and automating policy workflows using Python. Ellen's educational background includes studying Computer Science and Public Policy at Duke University and Fine/Studio Arts at Temple University Rome.
