Sim Dy has a diverse work experience. They started their career at the University of Massachusetts Lowell as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Text Machine Lab for Natural Language Processing from May 2017 to May 2019. During this time, Sim also held the position of President in the Honors Ambassador Council from January 2015 to May 2019.

After that, Sim joined SPACE HAUC in December 2016 as the Beam Steering Team Lead, until July 2017. They then transitioned to the role of Beam Steering Technical Lead from July 2017 to February 2018, and finally served as a Program Manager from February 2018 to September 2019.

In 2019, Sim started working at MITRE as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2019 to April 2023. Currently, Sim is a Senior Software Engineer at Istari, starting in April 2023.
