Josh Engel

Josh Engel is currently the Senior Director EdSurge Partnerships at ISTE. Prior to this, they worked at Google for almost five years as the YouTube Education lead, enriching learning experiences through video. Before their time at Google, Josh was the COO at Anavo Global LLC, an early-stage social enterprise investment fund and venture accelerator that supported entrepreneurs in field-based prototyping, piloting, and scaling solutions with human and financial capital in the areas of health, shelter, energy, and education. Josh has also worked as a consultant for various companies including National Able Network and Heartland Alliance. In addition to their work experience, Josh also took a year off to have their own Year of Adventure where they travelled to various places.

Josh Engel has an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Anthropology of Religion from Emory University. Josh also attended The American University in Cairo.

Josh Engel reports to Richard Culatta, CEO. They work with Sara Murray - Director, Special Projects, Darren Bailey - Senior Director, Technology & Digital Strategy & CTO, and Carolyn Sykora - Senior Director, ISTE Standards Programs.
