Michelle Williams

Professional Association Advocate

Michelle Williams has extensive experience in the fields of education and information and communication technology (ICT). Currently serving at the Electoral Commission Queensland in various election-related roles since 2010, Michelle also holds the position of Director at Digital Learning Futures, focusing on projects in remote areas, particularly with Indigenous communities. As a self-employed consultant since 2000, Michelle has engaged in ICT and curriculum consultancy across multiple countries, specializing in educational reform and pedagogy. Additionally, Michelle has been a strong advocate for professional associations, having served as the Past President of the Australian Council for Computers in Education (ACCE) and the Queensland Society for Information Technology in Education (QSITE), and as an international representative on the Board of the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE). In academia, Michelle has contributed as a lecturer at Queensland University of Technology, supporting teacher education in ICT. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Applied Science from QUT in the late 1970s.
