Simon Button

Simon Button is an experienced landscape architect, currently serving as Vice President and Deputy Chair at the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects Tuia Pito Ora (NZILA) since June 2024, with responsibilities that include governance and strategic planning. Simon's role at Isthmus Group Ltd as Associate Landscape Architect and Design Planner, beginning in March 2019, blends landscape assessment with design thinking, focusing on sectors such as infrastructure and renewable energy. Previous roles include Landscape Architect at Aspect Landscape Planning Ltd, teaching assistant at The University of Sheffield, and graduate landscape architect at FPCR. Simon holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture and a BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture with Town and Regional Planning from The University of Sheffield.
