Jon Horton has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to 2020. Jon started their career in the US Army as a Cavalry Scout and Army Recruiter, where they successfully operated in dynamic environments, utilized cutting-edge technologies, and mentored others. In 2015, they transitioned to the IT industry as an IT Support Analyst at Nelnet. Jon then worked as an Integrated Service Desk Analyst III at Blackstone Technology Group and Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC. From 2018 to 2019, Jon served as a Network Analyst and NOC 24x7 Team Lead/Network Engineer at Jacobs. In 2019, they joined SemGroup Corporation as an Information Security Analyst II. Currently, they are working as an Information Systems Security Officer at ISYS Technologies. Throughout their career, Jon has developed strong expertise in information security, network analysis, and client support administration.

Jon Horton's education history begins in 2013 when they enrolled at Arapahoe Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Jon completed their studies there in 2015. Following this, Jon attended Western Governors University from 2016 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with an emphasis on Security.

In addition to their formal education, Jon has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they received the CompTIA A+ ce certification from CompTIA. The following year, in 2015, they acquired the CompTIA Network+ ce and CompTIA Security+ ce certifications. In May 2017, Jon obtained the Linux+ (Powered by LPI) certification. Later, in November 2017, they achieved the CCNA Route and Switch certification from Cisco. Lastly, in April 2018, Jon obtained the CCNA Security certification, also from Cisco.
