David Walker

David Walker is a social development specialist with over 15 years of research experience in aspects of gender mainstreaming, gender-based violence, and child protection. Informing this work is a focus on inter-generational poverty and social norms.

David has a background in human geography and development studies, specializing in qualitative and participatory evaluative methods, including a child and youth-friendly approaches. He has experience in a variety of NGOs and research institutions, including the Overseas Development Institute, Oxfam GB, the Green Economics Institute, and others. David also brings broad and in-depth primary fieldwork and project experience with bilaterals, multilateral, and NGOs from a variety of settings, including East Africa, Southern Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
