Afrooz Karbaschi

Afrooz Karbaschi has over 14 years of work experience, starting with their role as a Staff Accountant at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in 2007. Afrooz then worked as an Audit Intern at BKD CPAs & Advisors in early 2008, conducting audits and reviewing financial statements. After that, they became an Audit Staff at BKD CPAs & Advisors, where they participated in financial audits and provided tax consultation for National Oilwell Varco.

In 2011, Afrooz joined HD Supply as a Senior Accountant, managing daily workflows and analyzing sales data. Afrooz later joined Weatherford in 2012 as a Senior Accountant in the Global Operations Group. There, they implemented processes that reduced capitalization time from three to one month, improved monthly closing processes, and maintained balance sheet reconciliations.

In 2017, Afrooz made a career move to NCR Corporation. Afrooz held various roles, including Senior International Accountant, External Reporting Manager, and International Accounting Manager in the Cardtronics Division. In these roles, they ensured accurate and complete consolidated financials, prepared and filed SEC reports and annual reports, coordinated with external auditors, and resolved financial mismatches.

Afrooz's most recent role was as a Financial Reporting Manager at Itafos, starting in 2022.

Afrooz Karbaschi pursued their education at the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business. From 2004 to 2008, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in Accounting. Afrooz furthered their education at the same institution from 2008 to 2009, obtaining a Master of Science in Accounting (MS Accy) degree with a concentration in Risk.
