Marcela Guerrero

Marcela Guerrero has extensive work experience in the field of database administration and teaching. Marcela started their career as a Programming Analyst at TopGroup, where they worked with customers such as Carrefour and Cencosud. Marcela then joined Swiss Medical Group as a DBA Team Lead, where they led a team of 10+ engineers and utilized tools such as Sybase and SQL Server. Marcela later joined IBM Argentina as a DBA Specialist, working with customers such as Banco Hipotecario, Cencosud, OSDE, and Siemens, and using Informix and DB2. Currently, they are working at ITBA as a Database Administrator and Professor, teaching Data Management and coordinating a team of 7 teachers and 10+ assistants. Marcela is also responsible for managing SQL Server databases utilized by students and staff for various projects.

Marcela Guerrero obtained their Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, where they studied from 2000 to 2006. Marcela later pursued a Master's degree in Teaching, Languages, and Media at the Universidad de San Martín, starting in 2012. Currently, Marcela is enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, where they are actively pursuing their research.
