Stefan Simrock

Stefan Simrock is currently a Controls Scientist at the ITER Organization, where they focus on the instrumentation and controls systems essential for the ITER fusion facility. Previously, they held significant roles at DESY, including Head of the Beam Controls Group, where they led a multidisciplinary team responsible for various accelerator control systems. Stefan has a robust background in nuclear physics, having served as a Senior Scientist at Jefferson Lab, and has been involved in critical projects across multiple international institutions. They earned a Master of Science in Physics and a Ph.D. in Physics Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
