Tom Wang

Tom Wang is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in backend and full-stack development across various companies in the tech industry. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Iterable since October 2018, Tom specializes in improving the reliability and performance of the Journeys feature using Scala. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer positions at Paxata and salesforce.com, where Tom contributed to various projects involving concurrency, HIPAA compliance, and real-time chat features. Tom's experience also includes work as a Research Programmer at Semantic Designs, as well as positions at Helix Education and Playdom. Tom holds an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and has pursued further studies towards a Ph.D. in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin, alongside a BA in Computer Science and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
