Senior Engineer at Iteris

Adam Danczyk is currently working as a Senior Engineer at Iteris, Inc. since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Associate at Cambridge Systematics, Inc. from 2019 to 2023, where they served as a Transportation Project Manager and Task Lead for nationally-focused projects in traffic operations, ITS, TSMO, and CAV. Their responsibilities ranged from field design to construction services and system architecture planning, including the implementation of emerging ITS technologies like Bluetooth and E-ZPass Travel Time Systems.

In addition, Adam worked as a Research Staff - Traffic Engineer at the University of Minnesota from 2006 to 2009. Adam led various research projects related to traffic engineering, freeway operations, and Intelligent Transportation Systems, including evaluating a cell phone traffic data system and designing a planning model for freeway sensor deployments. Adam also conducted a traffic impact analysis after the I-35W bridge collapse and assessed the value of time for I-394 HOT lanes.

Before their time at the University of Minnesota, Adam gained experience as a Student Engineer Trainee (Summer Intern) at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in 2005, where they assisted design engineers on a state highway reconstruction project. Adam also worked as a Summer Intern - Intelligent Transportation Systems at the Center for Transportation Training, Education, and Research in 2004, which was a collaborative education and research-oriented program funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
