Andrew Schaefer

Andrew Schaefer has a strong background in engineering and software development, with experience spanning over two decades. Andrew currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at Iteris, Inc. since January 2021. Prior to that, Andrew served as the VP of Software Development at TrafficCast International, Inc. from February 2018 to December 2020. Andrew also held the role of Sr Director of Engineering at the same company from March 2016 to February 2018. Before that, Andrew worked at Radiate Media as the Director of Engineering from December 2014 to March 2016 and as a Principal Software Engineer from March 2013 to December 2014. At NAVTEQ, they served as a Senior Software Architect from May 2007 to March 2013. Earlier in their career, Andrew worked as a Software Architect at I3Archive from September 2005 to May 2007 and as a Software Developer at Bentley Systems from June 2002 to September 2005. Andrew began their professional journey as an intern at Traffic.com in 2000 and worked as a Network Administrator at Netaxs, Inc. from 1998 to 2000. Overall, Andrew has held positions of increasing responsibility and has a breadth of experience in engineering and software development.

Andrew Schaefer attended The Hill School from 1997 to 2000 where they completed their high school education. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Economics from 2000 to 2004 at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
