Haley Zhao

Haley Zhao has a diverse work experience in the transportation and technology sectors. Haley began their career as an Intern GIS Technician at the City of Pasadena in 2015, where they gained hands-on experience with geographic information systems. Following that, they interned with the San Francisco County Transportation Authority as part of the Technology, Data & Analysis Division, where they designed data cleaning methods and manipulated volume data for travel model calibration.

In 2016, Haley joined Iteris, Inc. as an Analytics Engineer. In this role, they managed data analytics projects related to roadway safety, traffic congestion, and accidents. Haley developed tools to collect and process maps to monitor traffic patterns and collaborated with transportation agencies to improve decision-making in light of changing data availability and travel behavior information. In April 2020, Haley transitioned to the position of Product Manager at Iteris, Inc., where they continue to contribute their expertise in data analytics and transportation.

Haley Zhao's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree in Economic Geography from Sun Yat-sen University, which they completed from 2009 to 2013. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Urban Planning at UCLA from 2013 to 2015. Following their time at UCLA, they continued their education at UCLA Extension in 2015 and Stanford Continuing Studies in 2016, although no specific degrees or fields of study are provided for these programs.

In addition to their formal education, Haley Zhao has obtained certifications in the field of data science. In January 2020, they completed the "SQL for Data Science" certification from Coursera. Later in November 2020, they obtained the "Intro to Self-driving Cars Nanodegree" from Udacity.
