Alan Chan

Alan Chan has a solid work experience in software license compliance. Alan started their career as a Senior License Compliance Auditor at QAD Singapore Pte Ltd in 2007, where they audited software license compliance until February 2019. From February 2019 to October 2020, they worked at Aspen Technology as an Asia-Pacific Software License Compliance professional, handling high-pressure situations and customer negotiations related to software piracy activities. Alan then joined Trimble Inc. in October 2020 as a Regional Licenses Compliance Manager, overseeing compliance issues until December 2021. Alan is currently working at iText Software, holding the position of Open Source Software Compliance Manager since December 2021.

Alan Chan pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The Open University, from 2002 to 2009. In addition to their degree, they have obtained two certifications: Software Composition Analysis Certification for Legal Professionals from the Revenera Learning Center in May 2022, and Negotiation Strategies for Success from Emeritus in January 2022.
