Jack Powers

Jack Powers is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of communications, currently serving as Chair of the Television, Film, and Photo Programs at Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications since August 2006. In addition to this role, Jack has held positions as Interim Dean and Professor, as well as Associate Professor and Chair, where responsibilities included overseeing a department with over 1,100 majors across five degree programs. Jack's earlier experience includes serving as an Instructor in the TRF Department at Syracuse University from August 2003 to August 2006. Jack holds a PhD in Mass Communications from Syracuse University, an MA in Journalism from The Ohio State University, and a BA in Communications and French from the University of Mount Union.
