John Murphy, Ph.D., CISSP, and CISM, currently serves as CISO-in-Residence at Rubrik, Inc. and is an Advisory Board Member for the Cybersecurity Certificate Program at Ithaca College and the Cybersecurity program at Rutgers Business School. Since October 2019, John has also been an advisor to the company aww. Previously, John held significant roles at BNY Mellon as Managing Director overseeing Global Cybersecurity Strategy and Architecture, and at Deutsche Bank as Director of Global Cybersecurity Engineering. John’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Technology Management and an MS in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology, along with a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
