Michael Costello

Michael Costello serves as an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at Ithaca College since August 2016, with teaching responsibilities including Musculoskeletal II, Psychosocial Aspects of Patient Care, and the Performing Artists Clinic. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Assistant Professor at the same institution, focusing on courses such as Research III and Pathokinesiology. In addition, Michael has been an instructor and mentor for the Orthopedic Residency and Spine Rehabilitation Fellowship programs at Cayuga Medical Center since 2008, overseeing various advanced courses and holding the role of Physical Therapy Fellowship Program Coordinator. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as a Taijiquan Instructor at Island Health and Fitness and as a lecturer at Ithaca College from 2006 to 2016. Michael earned a Doctor of Science in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College.
