Laurent Calmes

Laurent Calmes has a diverse range of work experience. Laurent currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at ithinx GmbH, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they held a position at Scania Group as a Senior Engineer in Connected and Autonomous Systems from January 2018 to May 2022. From February 2011 to September 2017, they were a Senior Software Development Engineer at Microsoft Skype Division. Laurent also has experience as a QA Functionality Tester at Babel Media from July 2010 to December 2010. Their earliest work experience was as a Research Assistant at RWTH Aachen University from March 2003 to August 2008, where they worked on various projects related to binaural sound source localization and autonomous mobile robots.

Laurent Calmes holds a PhD equivalent degree, known as Dr. rer. nat., in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University. Laurent obtained this degree between 2003 and 2009. Prior to that, they completed their master's equivalent degree, Dipl.-Inform., in Computer Science at the same university from 1995 to 2003.

Before their university education, Laurent Calmes attended Lycée de Garçons de Luxembourg from 1987 to 1994, where they obtained a Diplôme de fin d'études secondaires.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Laurent Calmes has also obtained certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from ScrumAlliance in September 2013.
