The name 'Itihaas' translates to 'history' in Hindi, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to preserving and showcasing the rich culinary heritage of India. Over the years, Itihaas has garnered numerous accolades, solidifying its reputation as a leader in the UK's Indian restaurant scene.

 Just one year after its inception, Itihaas was honoured with the 'Newcomer of the Year' award for ethnic food and drink at The Best in Britain Awards. 


The restaurant clinched the 'Best Newcomer in West Midlands' title at the British Curry Awards, highlighting its rapid rise in the regional culinary landscape. 
 Itihaas achieved national acclaim by being named 'Best UK Restaurant' at the Cobra Good Curry Awards. Notably, this was the first time in 14 years that this prestigious award was bestowed upon a restaurant outside London. 

 Further cementing its status, Itihaas was awarded 'Best Restaurant in the Midlands' at the British Curry Awards, underscoring its consistent excellence in the region.
