Itineraria was founded in 1993 with the aim of deepening the investigation into the art and cultural field and disseminating its knowledge. It is animated by the convincement that only through tuition, instruction and education we can develop a deep-rooted awareness of the vital importance of the world Heritage. 

Its name is the plural of the Latin word "Itinerarium" and means itineraries.

It is recognized as a cultural organization of interest for the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia – Italy.
