Dirk Didascalou

Dirk Didascalou currently serves on the Board of Directors at itm8 since January 2024 and holds the position of Chief Technology Officer for Siemens Digital Industries, a role occupied since September 2021. Prior to these positions, Dirk was Vice President for Internet of Things (AWS IoT) at Amazon Web Services from January 2016 to May 2021, and Corporate Vice President of Technology & Research at Microsoft between September 2014 and November 2015. Dirk's extensive career in the telecommunications industry includes significant roles at Nokia, BenQ, and Siemens AG, where responsibilities ranged from Senior Vice President in Mobile Phones R&D to Director of various platforms and standardizations. Dirk has a strong academic background with a PhD in Communications & RF and multiple degrees in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from prestigious institutions such as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the University of Southampton.
