Gareth Smart

Gareth Smart is a highly experienced technical director and vision mixer with a diverse portfolio spanning over a decade in the broadcasting industry. Currently, as a Freelance Technical Director with ITN since May 2022 and a Freelance Vision Mixer for both Sunset+Vine and IMG, Gareth has contributed to notable productions across various sports and news platforms, including Channel 5 News, Tennis for Amazon Prime, and Rugby League for Channel 4. Previous roles include Vision Mixer/Director at Racecourse Media Group, where Gareth produced extensive live racing coverage, and at Bloomberg LP, utilizing advanced vision mixing technology for multi-camera news programs. Gareth holds an HND in Media Production from the University of Humberside and has a strong foundation in live broadcast operations from earlier positions.
