Rob Mitchell

Rob Mitchell has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Rob currently holds the position of Global Head of Engineering - Installations Operating Unit at ITP Aero, where they are responsible for managing engineering activities. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Engineering - ITP Aero UK, overseeing product lifecycle engineering for various structures and aerostructures. Before joining ITP Aero, Rob worked at Rolls-Royce for several years, holding various leadership roles. Rob served as the Engineering & Technology Executive, where they managed product lifecycle across multiple sites and led technology advancements in areas such as Additive Layer Manufacturing and Ceramic Matrix Composites. Rob also served as the Global Chief of Component Engineering - Complex Fabrications, Chief Project Engineer - UltraFan, Chief of Materials - Nuclear, Engineering Specialist - Metallurgy, and Materials Technologist - Nickel Discs during their tenure at Rolls-Royce.

Rob Mitchell obtained a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed an MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leicester from 1996 to 2001.
