Edzko Smid is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in electrical/electronic architectures, software-defined vehicles, and advanced driver assistance systems. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at Magna International, Edzko leads a team focused on innovative automotive technologies. As the President and co-founder of iTrack LLC, Edzko has demonstrated expertise in developing first responder and soldier tracking technologies and autonomous navigation systems. Additionally, Edzko owns Transportation Equipment Control, LLC, a consulting firm with two decades of experience in project management for Fortune 500 companies. Edzko's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Systems & Control Engineering from Oakland University and an Ir degree in Electrical & Control Engineering from Delft University of Technology, complemented by substantial contributions to research and education in the field.
