Brian McGuigan

Brian McGuigan is an experienced leader in the Smart City market, currently serving as the Director of Smart Cities for EMEA at Itron, Inc. since January 2014. With a strong background in business development and strategic projects, Brian has previously held positions such as Director of Smart City Solutions for Europe at Itron Networks and Manager of Business Development and Strategic Projects at Silver Spring Networks. Prior experience includes roles in product management and design at Onzo Ltd., where Brian focused on global channel sales and the Smart product suite, as well as a Director of Research and Design at Lightweight Medical Ltd and Element Zero Six. Brian began a career in product design engineering at Cardioprecision, contributing to innovative solutions for surgical equipment. Educationally, Brian holds a BEng in Product Design Engineering from The University of Glasgow and The Glasgow School of Art, along with an MSc in Biomedical Engineering and a PgDip in Sustainable Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
