Don Taylor

Don Taylor is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in engineering and leadership. As the Director and Founder Member of the STS Association since November 1996, Taylor has played a vital role in the governance of a not-for-profit organization in South Africa. Previously, Taylor served as an Energy Subject Matter Expert at Itron, Inc., contributing expertise in critical infrastructure services for over three decades. Early career experiences include roles as a Principal Research Engineer at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), focusing on specialized instrumentation, and as a Senior Electronic Engineer at Anglo American, where Taylor managed fire detection and refrigeration systems. Don Taylor's educational background includes a Higher National Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the College of Cape Town, completed in 1976.
