Mick Berry is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in electronics and smart systems. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Itron, Inc. since March 2024, Mick is focused on Smart Street lighting systems. Prior to this role, Mick worked at Berry Electronics as a Design Engineer, specializing in Smart Thermostat design, Smart EV Charging systems, and lighting test software from August 2019 to March 2024. Mick's career also includes significant leadership as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Smartcharge Ltd, where electric car charging systems were designed and developed from June 2009 to August 2019. Earlier experience includes design engineering roles at MechControl and GE, with responsibilities in telematics, advanced parking systems, and GSM systems respectively. Mick holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from Dublin City University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Control Engineering from the same institution.
