Mike Messenger is a semi-retired energy consultant, currently volunteering to help draft new energy legislation in Nevada. Having worked in the energy efficiency and evaluation field since 1978, Mike held significant roles at the California Energy Commission, including Program Manager and Chief of Energy Efficiency Evaluation, and was a Senior Principal Energy Consultant at Itron. They have authored key guidelines for energy efficiency programs, served as a senior advisor to Energy Commissioners, and led independent evaluation teams. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Energy Resource Management from Princeton University and a Master of Science in Energy Economics and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
