Paul Hood

Paul Hood is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on wireless systems and RF technology. Currently serving as Principal Wireless Systems Engineer at Itron, Inc. since January 2022, Paul supports advanced NB-IOT and CAT-M gas and water meter solutions. Previous roles include Hardware Applications Engineer at Sierra Wireless, where Paul led customer hardware integration across multiple wireless technologies, and RF Engineer positions at Wavecom and Sony Ericsson, contributing significantly to wireless module development. Paul's early career included roles as Radio Hardware Engineer at Ericsson Mobile Communications and RF Engineer at Orbitel. Paul holds an MSc in Electromagnetic Compatibility from the University of York and a BEng (Honors) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Huddersfield.
