Tom S. is a highly experienced professional in network solutions and engineering, currently serving as a Principal Network Solutions Engineer at Itron, Inc. since May 2022, where responsibilities include designing, deploying, operating, and supporting corporate, production, and engineering networks across over 40 global locations. Prior to this, Tom held various roles, including Consulting Technical Advisor & Strategist at Provva Systems and Senior Manager of System Test Engineering at F5 Networks. Tom's extensive background includes significant positions at Ciena Communications in technical advisory and management roles, as well as leadership in systems integration and quality assurance at companies such as Vivato, Inc. and Alcatel Carrier Internetworking Division. Tom's foundational experience also includes management of network security at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Western Washington University and a Graduate degree in Cyber Security Engineering from Flatiron School.
